Drei Schwedinnen in Oberbayern
Zeughauskino, Unter den Linden 2, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
“Drei Schwedinnen in Oberbayern” is a risqué comedy of light entertainment cinema. It was directed by Sigi Rothemund under the pseudonym Siggi Götz, a routineer of commercial film and television who in later years was not too keen to be reminded of this early work. In the film, innkeeper Otto Gruber (Gianni Garko) hopes that the charms of three blonde women he picked up in Stockholm will bring his ailing hotel “Zur Post” back to life. Rothemund stages the erotic turmoil the Nordic invaders stir up in Upper Bavaria with verve and precision as a constant barrage of punchlines, far above the genre's drab norm.
