About
A guided tour through the Stasi Records Archive. It is based on the case of Sylke Glaser, arrested in 1988 after distributing leaflets and sending anonymous letters against the political conditions in the GDR, interrogated by the Stasi and sentenced to fifteen months imprisonment. It is hosted by the Federal Archives. The tour shows how the East German secret police worked and how people and the maritime economy were monitored in the region while escapes across the sea border were to be prevented.
