"Einsamkeit überwinden: Wie Bibliotheken uns verbinden"
Humboldt-Bibliothek, Karolinenstraße 19, 13507 Berlin, Tegel
About
A reading and conversation opening the month of action „Gemeinsam in der Bibliothek“, called for by the German Library Association and the Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Seniors, Women and Youth. Journalist and author Daniel Haas reads from his autobiographical novel „Einsamsein. Eine Befreiungsgeschichte“, in which he writes of self-doubt, lack of belonging and shame, and of how he found a way out through connection and friendship. Afterwards, Federal Minister of Education and Family Affairs Karin Prien and Frauke Untiedt of the German Library Association talk with him about the causes and effects of loneliness and about libraries as places of encounter. Tina Lurz moderates; registration by email is possible.
