EUROPÄISCHER KINOTAG 2026

European Arthouse Cinema Day is a worldwide celebration of European arthouse cinema, on which hundreds of cinemas in more than 45 countries offer special screenings, discussions and unique events. The 11th edition is organised in collaboration with national arthouse cinema associations and partners from the audiovisual industry, supported among others by Creative Europe MEDIA, the CNC, the FFA, Eurimages and Europa Cinemas. It celebrates cinema as a place of encounter, dialogue and discovery and stresses the role of cinemas as essential public spaces. At its heart are cultural diversity, artistic freedom, collaboration and openness towards others.
