About
European Cinema Day is a celebration of European film taking place at the Rollberg Kino in Berlin's Neukölln district. It is staged by the Yorck cinema group together with more than 700 cinemas in 42 countries, for the eleventh time as the European Arthouse Cinema Day. This edition centres on special previews and screenings at a special price and on the work of director Mike Leigh, whose new film TENDER LOVING CARE won three awards at the San Sebastián festival. Alongside it, three of his films will be shown in the original version with subtitles: LÜGEN UND GEHEIMNISSE, MR. TURNER and HAPPY-GO-LUCKY.
