From the material intellect to ‘social virtuosity'

A lecture by Cécile Malaspina on the medieval controversy around the 'material intellect' and Averroism as an attitude of resistance to orthodoxy, read through Mattin's Social Dissonance. The philosopher works at the intersection of speculative realism, history of science and technology, and the arts, and teaches at the School of Materialist Research. Moderation is by Katarina Kolozova, in a cooperation between Helle Panke e.V. and the School of Materialist Research.
