About

"Was bleibt vom Körper? - Über Materialität und Technologie" is a public talk series at the Berlin University of the Arts, moderated by Prof. Mathilde ter Heijne. It features contributions from Çağla Ilk, a dramaturg, curator and the new artistic director of the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, and Melanie Roumiguière, a curator and head of the fine arts section of the DAAD's Berlin Artists' Program. The evening asks how digital technologies, new media and networked forms of production change our understanding of the body, materiality and presence. At its centre is what bodily presence means today and why it remains central in the age of digital mediation, spanning stage, exhibition, sound, fine arts and public space.
