An open discussion evening exploring how digital technologies, new media and networked forms of production change our understanding of the body, materiality and presence. It is part of the lecture series „Warum Kunst?" at the Berlin University of the Arts, moderated by Prof. Mathilde ter Heijne. The guests are dramaturg and curator Çağla Ilk, the new artistic director of the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, and curator and cultural scholar Melanie Roumiguière. At its centre is the question of what bodily presence means today in an age of digital mediation.
