About
GESICHT ZEIGEN – HOW TO REMEMBER PEOPLE is an inclusive portrait-making workshop in the Sunday programme, open to children from age 6, teenagers, adults and families, with and without disabilities. It draws on the portraits of the artist Eva Frankfurther (1930–1959), who painted people who were often overlooked, currently on view in the exhibition “Eva Frankfurther – Das Leben malen”. After exploring the portraits with different senses and inclusive materials, participants create their own pictures of people who matter to them through drawing, collaging and writing. A shared memory archive gradually emerges, to be made accessible during the exhibition; the workshop is led by Karen Michelsen Castañón and Rosa Witt.
