"Polis kocht!" is a discussion format by Polis180 e.V. that brings together young people, activists, politicians and scholars around the topics of foreign and European policy. The topic is the role of the U.S. midterm elections for American democracy, which is under massive pressure. The discussion covers the Democrats' hopes for a blue wave, Republican strategies to hold swing states, and the influence of money, the state of the two major parties and gerrymandering. It also looks at what these developments mean directly and indirectly for Europe and Germany. The project is funded by the Berlin state agency for civic education.
