Hagen Rether – LIEBE – aktualisierte Fassung

A satirical cabaret programme titled „LIEBE – aktualisierte Fassung“ that lasts up to three and a half hours. Behind it is the cabaret artist Hagen Rether, who links current events with the forgotten, the near with the far, questions central beliefs of Western „civilisation“ and exposes so-called practical constraints as collective fictions to laughter. The constantly mutating programme with the ever-same title invites the audience to change perspectives, to think and act for themselves, and calls on people to free themselves from instrumentalised fear and anger. The evening is tragic, comic, painful and makes a passionate plea for enlightenment and compassion, against double standards and complacent consumerism.
