About
A public tour of the exhibition “Histories of Tanzania” at the Humboldt Forum, led by participating curators and artists. The exhibition was developed together with the National Museum of Tanzania and in dialogue with communities in Tanzania. It asks what stories the more than 10,000 cultural belongings from Tanzania in Berlin’s Ethnologisches Museum tell and who should tell them. The tour explores the exhibits’ histories of origin, questions of restitution and how museums handle cultural belongings today, with film interviews giving Tanzanian representatives a voice; the tour is held in English.
