"Prepping for the Unexpected – Kunst, Theorie und Sauerkraut" is a day of artistic contributions, performances and a concert on preparing for the unforeseen. It is an event of the 2026 class of the university course "Kuratieren in den szenischen Künsten" at the University of Salzburg, in cooperation with Freie Universität Berlin and Ruhr Universität Bochum, at Vierte Welt in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In a world of multiple crises, the event proposes an alternative to individual self-protection: preparation rooted in shared knowledge, resources and the capacity to act collectively. Participants include Dr.-Ing. Margit Schild, Nolundi Tschudi, Dr. Eva Backhaus, the trio Particle Triality and Luiza Prado.
