The event is the opening of the exhibition "BILDER AUS DEM DESSAUER TURM" by Karl Horst Hödicke in the Vault of König Galerie at St. Agnes. It is the seventh exhibition of the German artist, born in 1938 and died in 2024, at the gallery. The title refers to the nickname Hödicke gave the building on Dessauer Straße, where he lived and worked for decades and created the portraits of Berlin for which he is known. The works on show turn the gaze toward the interior life of the "tower" – with paintings, sculptures and gouaches that radically and vividly depict everyday and family subjects.
