About
"Experiment und Eigensinn. Künstler*innen und Gestalter*innen der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee 1997–2024" is an exhibition of award-winning graduation projects at the ZAK Zentrum für Aktuelle Kunst in the Zitadelle Spandau. It is organised by the Mart Stam Gesellschaft, the support association of the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, and curated by Stefan Koppelkamm and Sophia Pompéry. The show presents 28 exemplary positions chosen from the 182 winners of the Mart Stam Prize, presented every year since 1997 for outstanding final work in all disciplines. The association carries the name of the Dutch architect Mart Stam (1899–1986), a pioneer of Modernism who served as director of the school from 1950 to 1952.
