Kick-off: Jazzfest Community Week & Kiez-Session #1
Petersburg Art Space, Moabit
About
The kick-off of Jazzfest Community Week with Kiez-Session #1 combines an experimental short film with a live concert. DREAM BABY DREAM is a production by Jazzfest Berlin / Berliner Festspiele in which 60 Berlin-based participants – children, teenagers, adults, and professional and non-professional artists from various disciplines – engage with central questions of our present through music, movement and poetry. The film was shot during the Jazzfest Community Week in late October 2025 in Berlin, developed and produced by a 10-member creative team, and premiered in Washington, D.C. in April 2026, where it received the IN Series Counterpoint Award. Afterwards, the quartet Sole Levid plays with Sophie Link (voice), Mile Kremberg (double bass), David Zipser (piano) and Leela Faude (drums).
