JIB Creative Music Orchestra by Anthony Braxton
Berliner Festspiele, Schaperstraße 24 10719 Berlin
About
JIB Creative Music Orchestra by Anthony Braxton is a closing workshop performance with a concert in the Georg-Neumann-Saal, preceded by the film DREAM BABY DREAM. The visionary composer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Braxton, a formative figure of contemporary, avant-garde music, meets around 25 students of the Jazz Institut Berlin during a multi-day workshop. The orchestra emerging from the workshop will rehearse a work composed by Braxton especially for this occasion and learn his improvisational language "Language Music". The concert is a highlight of this year's Jazzfest Community Week.
