Albus Ensemble sings motets of consolation from 7 centuries.

The Albus Ensemble from Berlin presents a motet programme under the title "Konzert - Ich wollt, dass ich daheime wär - Motetten aus 7 Jahrhunderten". Founded in 2018, the ensemble takes its audience on a journey through time from the 14th century to the present. The focus is on motets dealing with the themes of consolation and eternity, fitting for the end of the church year; the programme is named after the motet of the same title by Hugo Distler. In times of uncertainty and conflict, the ensemble aims to set a hopeful impulse and express the longing for security, consolation and redemption.
