About
A memorial and peace concert titled „Verleih' uns Frieden“ in the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche, which two days before the Volkstrauertag national day of mourning aims to set a tangible sign against war, violence and dehumanization. The project idea and direction are by countertenor Philipp Mathmann and organist and cantor Sebastian Heindl. Also performing are the Kammerchor Memoria of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, Concerto Brandenburg with Kerstin Linder-Dewan (violin), and Florian Goldberg with texts and reflections. Musically the concert moves through works by Purcell, Schütz, Bach and Handel to Mozart, tracing the path from birth to death and perhaps beyond.
