Kurator:innenführung
Museum Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in der Villa Oppenheim, Schloßstraße 55, 14059 Berlin, Charlottenburg
About
The Kurator:innenführung is a guided tour of the current exhibition at Villa Oppenheim. It is dedicated to the architect and designer Marlene Poelzig, whose designs shaped the interiors of the Lichtspielhaus Capitol am Zoo and the Haus des Rundfunk, and whose house and studio in Westend was pioneering. The exhibition was initiated, curated and designed by the Initiative Marlene Poelzig, which protested against the building's demolition in 2021. The team presents Poelzig's work and self-assertion and discusses how architectural history denied her recognition.
