Melissa Auf der Maur: her ’90s rock photos with Sonic Youth.

A book presentation and talk at Fotografiska in Berlin: Melissa Auf der Maur presents her book “My ’90s Rock Photographs”, speaks with the audience and signs copies afterwards. She was the bassist of Hole and Smashing Pumpkins and toured the world in the 1990s with a 35mm camera always at her side. From that practice grew an archive of more than 10,000 photographs offering intimate glimpses of the alternative rock scene, including encounters with Pavement, Sonic Youth and Beck. The book gathers over 200 pictures as a love letter to the last analogue decade and a visual time capsule of that decade's music scene, and the talk is in English.
