A chanson evening at BAR JEDER VERNUNFT in which Meret Becker (vocals, lyrics & concept) and Dietmar Loeffler (piano, arrangements & concept) newly interpret the songs of the French singer BARBARA (1930–1997). BARBARA is considered the great one-off of French chanson and one of the great figures of French post-war chanson alongside Édith Piaf, Juliette Gréco and Jacques Brel. Under the title „NACHTBLAU – Chanson für eine Abwesende“, the two rediscover an artist who, as a French Jew, worked for reconciliation between Germany and France like hardly anyone else – her chanson „Göttingen“ is probably the best-known musical testimony to this. With Marie Claire Schlameus on cello and Uwe Steger on accordion, they bring BARBARA's feverish texts and dark melodies back to life.
