At Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Rachel Monosov presents a performance in which Rachell Bo Clark, Cami Brogaard and Victor Dumont take on the role of flag bearers. Starting from sculptural works based on paintings by Edgar Ende, they set choreographic sequences in motion between movement, repetition and spatial negotiation. The flag appears as a symbol of collective ideals, as a physical burden and as contested territory. Titled The Flag Bearers and curated by Jorgina Stamogianni as the seventh chapter of the exhibition series Becoming B, the work links surreal imagery with questions of conflict, belonging and vulnerability and Monosov's ongoing engagement with nationalism and collective identity.
