The Plenum of the Leibniz-Sozietät der Wissenschaften zu Berlin is a hybrid session held both in person and via Zoom. In a lecture titled „(Ab-)Gründe der Demokratie“, Raj Kollmorgen, professor of sociology at the Zittau/Görlitz university of applied sciences, reflects from a historical and political-sociological perspective on the self-evidence, crisis and transformation of our political system. He questions the assumption of a fixed content of democratic norms, examines the improbability of liberal-democratic orders and discusses alternative futures. Dieter Segert comments on the lecture.
