About
A workshop titled “Puma Camillê: A Workshop about Capoeira History”, part of “The School of Self-Defense”, held in English. It is led by Puma Camillê, an artist, activist, South American Princess of the House of Basquiat and founder of the movement Capoeira Pra Todxs. In her practice CapoeiraVogue she combines Capoeira and Voguing, two cultural forms born from experiences of resistance, community and self-assertion. The workshop brings the Ginga and Mandinga of Capoeira together with the lines, poses and expressiveness of Vogue, thinking of movement as a form of knowledge, freedom and collective experience.
