About
„Rico, Oskar und die Tieferschatten“ is a theatre play for ages 8 and up at the ATZE Musiktheater, with numerous songs and a running time of 120 minutes including an intermission. It is based on the modern children's book classic by Andreas Steinhöfel, winner of the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis 2009, in a stage adaptation by Felicitas Loewe, with music by Thomas Sutter, musical direction by Thomas Lotz and direction by Matthias Witting. The story follows Rico, a boy from Dieffenbachstraße in Kreuzberg who calls himself „tiefbegabt“ (of low giftedness), and the „hochbegabt“ (highly gifted) Oskar, who become friends despite their differences. When Oskar suddenly disappears, Rico must cast aside all his fears in a detective story to rescue his friend.
