About
Die Bettwurst – Das Musical! is a stage musical at Bar jeder Vernunft in Berlin. The book and direction are by Rosa von Praunheim, a renowned director, producer, author and activist of the LGBTQ movement, who adapted his own cult film from 1971 for the stage as a musical. The love story between Luzi, born in Kiel with Polish roots, and Dietmar from Mannheim, which Praunheim staged as the first director in Germany in the camp style, is sung and danced by Anna Mateur and Heiner Bomhard. Together with four co-stars they turn their rounds on the revolving stage to songs and arrangements based on Bomhard's music, until the whole room goes wild.
