About
A guided tour through the Schaudepot, the display depot holding the Akademie der Künste's collection of architectural models. A permanent exhibition presents highlights of the collection, while changing presentations explore current topics around architecture and urban planning. Visitors can discover a wide range of designs and visions, such as a teaching replica of the Roman Arch of Septimius Severus from 1786, the colourful glass building toy Dandanah designed by Bruno Taut around 1920, and urban models of Berlin from post-war reconstruction to the present. Architectural drawings, photos and plans add details to the stories behind the models; access to the exhibition is only possible as part of a guided tour.
