About
An evening of talks about Joachim Kersten, an homme de lettres who worked as a jurist and writer behind the scenes of literary life, shaping how literature was created, spread, preserved in archives and published in editions. Six speakers share different perspectives: Jacqueline Kersten talks about him as an author and collector, Katharina E. Meyer about his involvement in literary foundations, publisher Thedel von Wallmoden sketches him as a partner for publishing houses, Oskar Ansull covers his role as an editor, Matthies van Eendenburg recalls his work as a jurist, and Erdmut Wizisla introduces his commitment to archives. Wizisla also describes how the Walter Benjamin Archive came to the Akademie der Künste thanks to Kersten. The evening takes place in cooperation with the Kurt Wolff Stiftung.
