About
A reading and conversation at Mitte Museum about the writer Susanne Kerckhoff. In 1948, in her Berlin letters, she spoke out against the great silence after National Socialism, writing about guilt, atonement and the search for a new beginning in a destroyed society. Lena Bührichen talks with publisher Peter Graf about who this woman was, why she fell into obscurity after her death in 1950, and why she is worth reading again today. The music comes from Jens-Karsten Stoll, with moderation by Jörg Braunsdorf.
