"Shelter" is an exhibition of monochrome wall-based works by Angela de la Cruz. It is her fourth solo exhibition at Galerie Thomas Schulte on Potsdamer Strasse. The works combine painting and minimalism: beneath an aluminum surface lie layers of stretched and loose canvas that ooze out around the edges. Like makeshift shields or soft, temporary enclosures, they suggest a precarious form of protection.
