Tenants of Tender Armour is an exhibition series at ACUD Galerie, running from April to December 2026 in three exhibition acts with accompanying events. It is curated by Colette Patterson and Gabriela Matuszewska in collaboration with Goethe-Institut im Exil, and features artists including Josefin Arnell, Jordan Deal, Dina El Kaisy Friemuth, Manuel Goetz, Samuel Guerrero, Kasra Jalilipour, Julia Selin, Joshua Tarelle Reid, TABLOID Press and Zhiyuan Yang. It explores shielding as a material practice and a micropolitical gesture, both in war and conflict, where bodies serve as literal shields, and in everyday life, where people protect themselves from visibility or structural violence. The three acts are titled "Echo Alliances", "A Charm of Powerful Trouble" and "Orbital Decay".
