[ materialistin ]. Matter of Care, Care of Matter shows sculptures and site-specific installations at Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart. It is the work of [ materialistin ], a non-hierarchical group of eight women sculptors based in Leipzig – Laura Eckert, Enne Haehnle, Elisabeth Howey, Lucy König, Agnes Lammert, Wibke Rahn, Theresa Rothe and Sophie Uchman – with the exhibition curated by Sam Bardaouil. Working in steel, stone, plaster, concrete, wax, clay and plant fibres, the artists take positions on feminist, social and cultural-political questions. The show highlights new forms of collective practice and solidarity.
