About
The Crusaders Project & Beyond is a collective of American and French musicians who honor and preserve the music of the legendary Jazz Crusaders. Expect groove, spiritual and straight-ahead jazz at its finest. Fuasi Abdul-Khaliq on tenor saxophone, pianist Kelvin Sholar, trombonist Geoffroy de Masure, bassist Charles Sammons and drummer Kenny Martin are among the top instrumentalists of the Berlin scene. The Crusaders around Joe Sample found success not only in jazz but also in pop, with songs such as "Street Life" with Randy Crawford.
