About

Theater der Dinge 2026 is an international festival of contemporary puppet and object theater, whose 15th anniversary edition runs under the theme »The World as a Model«. Under the artistic direction of Tim Sandweg, it brings together productions that question our present era with puppets and objects, tableaus, miniatures, simulations and games. Alongside Schaubude Berlin and Podewil, works from countries such as Belgium, Finland, France and Germany also perform at TATWERK. The festival takes its name from the director and puppet theater professor Konstanza Kavrakova-Lorenz and refers to the ability of things to act and tell stories.
