A guided tour of the Stasi Records Archive Dresden, which holds the files of the former Dresden district administration of the Ministry for State Security. It is organised by the Federal Archives – Stasi Records Archive Dresden, which opens its doors once a month on a visitor day. On a walk through the archive area, visitors get an overview of how the Stasi worked, the archive's special history, and its holdings and how they are used. Archive staff present selected files that bear witness to surveillance, control and informing, and offer insights into life in the GDR.
