Vitalii Shupliak – THRESHOLDS (Eröffnung)
Das Gotische Haus, Spandau
About
The opening of the exhibition “THRESHOLDS” by Vitalii Shupliak at the Galerie Gotisches Haus begins with a welcome from the district councillor for culture and an introduction by the artistic director. The artist, born in Ukraine and living in Berlin, works with video installation, painting and performance, asking what happens at a threshold between inside and outside, protection and threat. His works move between sacred visual tradition and the digital present, showing boundaries as permeable spaces in which meanings shift. At the Gotisches Haus this perspective meets an architecture shaped by transitions, where the familiar repeatedly tips into the uncanny.
