Workshops and courses
Von Kopernikus und Zwillingen: a workshop on Stasi files.
About
A workshop at the exhibition „Einblick ins Geheime“ about the work of the Ministry for State Security in Berlin's Friedrichshain district. It is run by the education team of the Stasi Records Archive together with the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg adult education centre (Volkshochschule). Using the files known as „Kopernikus“ and „Zwillinge“, it shows how the Stasi spied on people, watched them and turned the collected knowledge against them, and how files were created from this. Participants visit the once-secret archives on the grounds of the former Stasi headquarters and work with files themselves; the meeting point is the exhibition's entrance area.
