About
The traveling exhibition presents “600 Akkordeons” – 600 accordions collected by the Berliner Dieter Plinke over his lifetime. The instruments are tied to memories from many countries, generations and Berlin neighborhoods. In the “Year of the Accordion”, the Landesmusikrat Berlin is making the collection visible and accessible to all Berliners, together with the Handelsverband Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., in six Berlin shopping centers, with a half year of concerts, readings and activities for children, young people and families. The exhibition is designed by the initiative “Selbstgebaute Musik”, known nationwide for its imaginative stagings of creative spaces.
