When I Came into Being

"When I Came into Being" is a wordless performance at ACUD Theater set in a world of miniature furniture, doll-sized objects and toy-like architecture. It was created by artist Venera Kazarova, with performer Elizaveta Poliakova and dramaturg Denis Beznosov. In this space, an adult performer tries to become smaller—not physically, but through gestures, posture and movement. The performance explores the tension between the adult body and the memory of a world that once fit it perfectly, as the miniature surroundings become an archive of memory.
