About
A workshop in which participants build a working pinhole camera from simple everyday materials. The loaded, sealed camera can be taken home, along with a printed guide for exposing and developing it there using a chemical-free process. The workshop is led by Grace Baggott, Vanessa Garcia and Matthew Hansen and takes place in the framework of Berlin Science Week. A short opening talk also looks at photography's other history as a tool of scientific classification and colonial documentation. The workshop is open to all ages and requires no prior knowledge; it takes place in English.
