Wie geht Natur?!: documentary on Michael Succow.

»Wie geht Natur?!« is a documentary about the life story of the Brandenburg biologist, moor researcher and Alternative Nobel Prize laureate Prof. Dr. Michael Succow. In 1990, together with a few fellow campaigners, he brought about five national parks, six biosphere reserves and three nature parks on 4.5 percent of the territory of the GDR. Despite all adversity from the GDR state power, he never let himself be swayed from his ideals of nature conservation and made it his life's task to protect landscapes and pass on his knowledge. The film by Jakob Friedrich, which won the audience award at the Ökofilmtour 2026, gives courage and aims to motivate especially young people to stand up for ideals and the protection of nature.
