About

ZIG ZAG HALL: Hiromi Trio feat. James Genus & Simon Phillips is a jazz concert with Japanese pianist Hiromi, joined by bassist James Genus and drummer Simon Phillips. Hiromi is regarded as one of the most explosive live performers in jazz history, blending jazz, classical elements, composition and improvisation in a high-energy style. The Grammy Award winner has performed at events including the 2021 Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony and received the Japanese Academy Award in 2024 for the soundtrack to Blue Giant. With her Trio Project she returns to the road in 2026, exploring both acoustic and electronic sound worlds.
