About
This is a small exhibition of medieval documents from the City of London Corporation's archive. It shows items including the 'Cartae Antiquae', a late fifteenth-century compilation open at a portrait of Henry VI, and a second illuminated manuscript open to a coloured depiction of the Crucifixion. The display also features a 1402 receipt from Richard (Dick) Whittington, records of Katherine Nougle's 1392 apprenticeship, and two watercolour portraits of City aldermen from around 1450.
