Stolen! Theft in the archives
London School of Economics and Political Science, Houghton Street, WC2A 2AE London, Covent Garden
About
"Stolen! Theft in the archives" is an exhibition at the LSE Library Gallery, open to all. It is hosted by LSE Library and curated by an international team, including Hannah Boroudjou, Daniel Brambilla-Payne, Chelsea Collison, and Silvia Gallotti. The exhibition explores theft in different forms: wealth taken by others, ideas obscured by the published record, and robbed legacies, showing how theft shapes what we remember and what we forget. It features stories on Harriet Taylor Mill, documents from the investigation into the murder of socialist MP Giacomo Matteotti, student research on Marxism, Hansa Mehta's possible connection to LSE, the Fabian Society, AI, and more.
