About
Baroque Classics by Candlelight is a candlelit concert of sacred music from the 17th and 18th centuries. St Martin's Choral Scholars, Emerging Artists and Chamber Ensemble perform under the direction of Andrew Earis. The programme pairs celebrated masterpieces such as Monteverdi's Beatus Vir and Bach's Jesu, meine Freude with rediscovered gems by the lesser-known composers Isabella Leonarda and Caterina Assandra. It runs for one hour with no interval.
