About

A lunchtime piano recital lasting about one hour without an interval. Scottish pianist Steven Osborne, stepping in for Richard Goode, plays Keith Jarrett's Improvisation on the Vienna Concert and Beethoven's mighty Diabelli Variations, the 33 Variations in C on a waltz by Diabelli Op. 120. Osborne, praised by The Herald for the 'musical intelligence and reflective grace he brings to an astonishing range of repertoire', is the soloist. The concert is part of the Wigmore Hall/BBC Lunchtime Concerts.
