A lunchtime violin and piano recital lasting about an hour, without an interval. The Singaporean violinist Chloe Chua, not yet 20 and praised for daring virtuosity, is joined by pianist Julien Quentin. Her programme frames Beethoven's gripping A minor Violin Sonata with two mighty showpieces, Tartini's fiendishly difficult 'Devil's Trill' Sonata and Franz Waxman's heart-warming Carmen Fantasie. It forms part of the Pentatone 25th Anniversary Festival.
