About
A cello and piano recital at the Ancient Church of St Mary The Virgin, also streamed live on YouTube and Facebook and available afterwards as a recording. Cellist Morwenna Del Mar, a member of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, is joined by pianist William Galton, winner of the 2008 Vienna International Piano Competition. Their programme pairs Rachmaninov's Sonata in G minor Op 19 with his Prelude for cello and piano Op 2 no 1 and a Prelude for solo piano in E flat Op 23 no 6, alongside Nadia Boulanger's Three pieces for cello and piano and Liszt's Liebestraum no 3. Donations are invited to support the musicians and maintain the church.
