CILIP RPG visit to The Salvation Army International Heritage Centre

Salvation Army, Maple Road 174, SE20 8JB London, Penge

About

A visit by CILIP's RPG group to The Salvation Army International Heritage Centre, a museum telling the story of The Salvation Army from its origins in the 1860s to the present, in the UK and internationally. The event is organised by CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, and attendees should contact Charmaine Bourton to come along. The Heritage Centre sits within the Grade II listed memorial training college designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, opposite Denmark Hill Station, and also houses a reference library and archive. Some work by Charmaine's grandmother, a former artist for the Salvation Army publication The Young Soldier, will be on display.
